The Health Impact Fund is dedicated to giving people in developing countries access to affordable medicines. Next month Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona hosts an inaugral lecture to launch HIF in Spain.
Related to this project is the ongoing Novartis court case in India. According to Oxfam, "If Novartis wins this case, countless medicines previously available cheaply to poor people will be patented and priced out of reach."
