Unseen Melbourne
The city of Melbourne has changed so much since I left almost 30 years ago. When I went back I tried to take photos of the areas I remember as a kid. I try to capture that feeling I had as a kid, a sense of wonder of bygone days. I feel nostalgic for a time I never experienced, but the photos are evidence of some a golden age - when life was simpler and community life was vibrant.

Concrete Canvas
I don't usually enjoy waiting at airports but on a recent trip from Australia I spend quite a few hours waiting for flights. Looking out of the Barcelona terminal windows I was struck by the beauty of the runway. The following images come from various airports.

The Story of Ambrosia Honey is a 28 page booklet I designed and co-wrote with my sister Edith about the family honey business in Melbourne, Australia.
La Vanguardia article
La Vanguardia published a piece on my photo project Not As It Seems. The idea is that things in life are not always what they appear to be.

Animal Sospechoso
Animal Sospecho is a poetry publisher in Barcelona. They commissioned me to design a logo and book covers for their new poetry anthologies.
Above concept for a logo with a animal hiding behind the A. Below cover ideas for the George Herbert anthology.
Table art placemats
I recently produced a series of placemats for a gift company in Barcelona. The idea was to produce tabletop art that start dining conversations.

ASAP posters
The global justice campaigning group Academics Stand Against Poverty are set to launch in Barcelona next month, and I was asked to come up with some ideas for posters for the event. Here are three of them. The group preferred the third one with the photo by Tuca Viera. You can find out more about ASAP's work by visiting www.academicsstand.org. Thanks to Tuca Viera for the use of his photo Paraisopolis. www.tucavieira.com.br

Logo for Architect
New Zealand company Greenstone required a company logo. They wanted an elegant yet simple logo which reflected the values of their business. The design is based on a scripted type, yet not based on any typeface. The brief was to create a unique and friendly non-corporate logo which can be used across a wide range of applications. I decided to use a joined handwriting style as it reflects crafts and hand skills. The colour pallet is derived from New Zealand's famous greenstone.
